Madden players come on all types. To celebrate the rich diversity of the Madden community, MaddenUniversity.com is working to highlight key members from various sites that enhance the Madden experience.
Over the past 8 years of online play, many things have changed. One thing that hasn't is the number of players looking to enjoy their Madden gaming experience against like minded players.
Dfense, a member of STR8SIM.com's Madden community, agreed to answer some questions for this week's Madden 11 Community Spotlight:

Madden, like real life football, has players with a diverse level of competitiveness and experience. Pitting players of varied levels together in a single arena immediately presents a challenge that developers seek solutions for every year. How can the game be an enjoyable experience for new and old players without alienating either? How much of a player's enjoyment relies on his own development? And finally, how can we play together in harmony?
In our last article, titled "Madden 11 - Chess or Cheese?" we discussed the types of players seeking to play competitively and placed them in 4 categories. Now that we have an idea of what types of players there are, the next step is trying to figure out what these players expect from one another.

To celebrate the rich diversity of the Madden community, MaddenUniversity.com is working with other Madden communities to spotlight key contributors to the wealth of reliable information available for Madden both online and off.
Over the past 8 years of online play, several Madden communities have come and gone. Subject to closings, mergers, or a mere lack of interest many displaced members of ghosted communities have become new faces in new places. If you've ever wondered "Where are they now?," your questions are being answered.
Our first foray includes an old staple of websites dating back to the early days of online Madden and MaddenMania. Adembroski, now a member of OperationSports.com's robust Madden community agreed to answer some questions for this week's Madden 11 Community Spotlight:

When I heard that Madden NFL 11 contained 3v3 Online Multiplayer, I wanted to get excited and scream "Hallelujah" through the streets. Then I thought of my Madden 10 experience and decided to wait until I played the mode before celebrating. I'm pleased to announce that OTP is not only all I thought it would be, but it's actually more fun than basic head-to-head play.
In my first game, I wasn't aware of the level of strategy that I'd need to employ. Even so, I was playing with someone that I didn't know from Adam so my expectations were low. We lucked out. I played with someone who not only communicated well, but had obviously mastered some of the finer points of playing his position.

Are you a Madden Addict (Maddict for short)?
If you are hooked on the Madden NFL series produced by EA Sports Tiburon Studios, you just might be a Maddict. You’re not alone. There’s millions of us. There seems to be no physical, financial, age, or emotional barrier that can stop the spread. Maddicts consist of regular people across the globe from all walks of life. US, England, Canada, and Mexico. From computer nerds to gang members, soldiers and doctors, ditch-diggers and stock brokers, fathers and sons, club-bouncers and tuba players. Almost anyone in the world could be a Maddict. Each bound by the love of football and video games. But unlike other addictions this one is fun, legal, and doesn’t require any rehab (although the off-season withdrawal is brutal).
